A free concert
March 28, Saturday, 8:30 p.m., Ortigas Park
Earth Hour.Org calls this year’s observance as the world’s first global election – between the earth and global warming. How do you vote for the earth? Switch your lights off. When you leave them on, you vote for global warming.
It’s that simple.
From its start in Sydney, Australia in 2007, Earth Hour has grown into a truly international effort for sustainability. This year’s goal is to have one billion people switch lights off as part of a global vote. Over 74 countries and territories have pledged their support to VOTE EARTH during Earth Hour 2009, and this number is growing every day.
Will you switch off to be counted?
Camerawalls rises from the ashes of the late lamented Orange and Lemons with a new lineup, a new label, and a new album. Clementine (guitars/vocals), Law Santiago (bass), and Ian Sarabia (drums) formed in 2007 to deliver refreshing indie music with infectious hooks.
Last year saw the band’s debut release Pocket Guide to the Otherworld, minted under Clementine’s indie label Lily Star Records.
