Suspension bridge or Puente Colgante in Spanish, originally called Puente de Claveria named after Governor-General Narciso Claveria y Zaldua; served as the Governor-General of the Philippine Islands from 1844 to 1849. Constructed by Ynchausti y Compania and completed in 1852. Suspension bridge in far distance, boats on either side of Pasig River in Manila. Construction on the Puente Colgante suspension bridge across the Pasig River started in 1849 and was completed in 1852.
