American doctors and staff pose with 5 patients in the ward of the military hospital in Cagayan de Misamis, now known as Cagayan de Oro City, most likely during the Philippine-American War or known as the Battle of Cagayan de Misamis. The Americans won the war, and about forty years later, gave the Philippines its independence on July 4, 1946.
