USS Boxer refuels in Manila Bay. Boxer was one of 24 Essex-class aircraft carriers of the U.S Navy. Launched on 14 December 1944, she was too late to see action in World War II, but had many involvement duties in training exercises and the including launching the first carrier-based jet aircraft.
