Scarf - Escolta, Manila

Established around 1594, Escolta was one of the oldest and busiest streets in Manila, a hub of business and commerce. Its name was derived from the Spanish word escoltar, meaning 'to escort' or a 'convoy' in reference to the military escorts of the Spanish General who passed every day in the street.
